Hello and welcome!!!

My name is Cathy Tedesco, and let me tell you a little about myself and how all this all came about.

First, let's start with the name of my store.

La Mia Felicita, what does that mean you ask?  Well, let me tell you!  It means my happiness.  In my search for the perfect name for my bead store, there were a lot of choices that were tossed aside because they were just too product specific.  This name was chosen because of my husband, who had "la mia felicita" written inside my wedding band as his message to me.  Since he encouraged and motivated me to start my own business so that I would be happy, I thought it was the perfect choice.

OK, so what about me?

I previously worked in the professional world, but couldn't wait until the end of the day, so I could head home to create.  My husband had encouraged me to leave the 9-5 world behind and pursue my own custom jewelry and bead business.  I had been self taught until several years ago, when I decided to hone my skills and broaden my techniques by taking some professional level classes.  I have been crafting most of my life, and aside from jewelry/beads, I've tried things like stamping, crocheting, doll making, scenic design, costume design, and other crafts.  No matter what new craft I tried though, I always ended up coming back to jewelry making and beadwork.

So in the spring of 2006, my husband bought me my own 1,800 sq. ft. store as a birthday gift.  After a couple of months doing our own demolition and construction, we had a very successful GRAND OPENING on July 15th, 2006.

One of the most important aspects of any business, in my opinion, is customer service.  In any of the previous jobs I've held, I have always strived to go above and beyond what was expected of the position for the sake of the customer and I now bring this same spirit to my own business.  My goal is to offer high quality products at the store, as well as fine handmade finished pieces.  For the finished pieces, I am proud of each piece I make and hope that each person who purchases them will be as proud to wear or display my creations as well.

My jewelry is created using only quality products.  There is a lot of time, thought, and care that goes into creating each piece.  Although there are ready made pieces always available to purchase, I want to encourage you to contact me for custom pieces that will best fit your style and budget.
